How Long Will My ISA Be Tax Free?

isa24When ISA’s initially began in 1999, the tax free period was only set for 2010. However, the government has recently confirmed that the tax free status on an ISA account will remain in effect indefinitely. This is great news for anyone that has an ISA account, or that is planning to open one.

A cash ISA will allow you to build up a savings account that won’t only pay you money in interest, it will save you money on your taxes at the end of the year. ISA’s have quickly became the most popular type of savings account as more and more people are realizing the advantages they offer.

Just like with any other type of savings account, depending on the providers rules you can withdraw money from your ISA whenever you need it. In some cases you’ll be allowed to withdraw any or all of the balance of your cash ISA account. In some cases, there will be a limit on withdrawals. So, make sure you compare ISAs if you want to be able to withdraw funds.

While cash ISA’s were already a great choice, they’re an even better option for saving money since the tax free status has became indefinite. If you don’t already have an ISA you should seriously consider taking advantage of opening one. If you’re going to have a savings account anyway, you might as well have one that will earn you money!
