Change can be good

It’s been a crazy year and you’ve faced so much change! It seems like if it wasn’t one thing it was another. You’ve pulled through but it hasn’t been easy. Thank goodness that even with all the fluctuation in your life, you didn’t go for any high-risk investments. I mean, yeah you know they have their place – but one of the few things you could trust this year was the steady growth in your savings accounts. And when your side-business tanked and you lost your regular job those fixed term savings accounts saved your butt! Sure, maybe they aren’t as flashy and glamourous as the high-risk ventures you were tempted by but your savings plans stood by you when everything else fell apart.

Granted, you’d rather not cash it in right now because it will be like starting all over again, but at least it’s there for you to help you get back on your feet and start moving forward in life. And really it feels kind of good that you’ve got this clean slate to build on. Maybe it’s time to start dreaming again! Maybe a new town, a new job – a new lease on life. 

Things happen, and change sometimes comes in a series of steps forward and also stumbles back – but thankfully, you had the foresight to start saving up when the times were good. They’ll be good again, you’ve got no doubt, but right now you’re feeling really lucky and smart to have put that money aside.
